Record. Share. Explain.
RecBeam is a private screen recorder for Chrome. Record your screen, camera, and audio locally, then share what you made with a single unlisted link — no account required to watch.
How it works
Three steps, no complicated setup.
Record
Capture your screen, a browser tab, or your camera — with microphone and tab audio — right from your browser. Recordings start saved locally.
Upload
When you're ready to share, upload the recording once you sign in. Until then, it stays on your device.
Share
Get a private, unlisted link. Anyone with the link can watch — nobody else can find it by browsing or searching.
Built for quick, private explanations
Everything you need to record a walkthrough and send it — nothing you don't.
Screen recording
Record a full screen, a single window, or one browser tab in crisp quality.
Microphone & tab audio
Narrate over your recording with your microphone, and optionally capture a tab's audio too.
Local-first recording
Every recording is saved on your device first. Nothing leaves your browser unless you choose to upload it.
Private, unlisted sharing links
Every share link uses a random, unguessable address. It isn't listed or indexed anywhere.
Fast video playback
Share pages stream instantly and support seeking to any point in the recording, even on slower connections.
Sign in with Google
No new password to create. Your recordings are tied to your account only when you choose to upload.
Your recordings are yours by default
RecBeam is built so the private moments in a screen recording stay private. Nothing is uploaded until you choose to share it, and nobody can discover a share link unless you send it to them.
- Recordings are captured and stored on your device before any upload
- Share links are unlisted — not searchable, not public by default
- RecBeam does not sell your personal information
- You can request deletion of recordings or your account at any time
Frequently asked questions
What is RecBeam?
RecBeam is a Chrome extension for recording your screen, camera, and audio, and sharing the result through a private, unlisted link.
Where are my recordings stored?
Recordings are saved locally on your device first. If you choose to upload one for sharing, it's stored using Cloudflare R2, and basic recording details (like title and duration) are stored using Cloudflare D1. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Who can see a recording I share?
Anyone who has the exact share link can view that recording. Links are not listed publicly or indexed by search engines, but they are not password-protected — treat a share link like you would any private but unencrypted link.
Can I delete a recording or my account?
Yes. See our deletion instructions for how to remove individual recordings or request full account deletion.
Is RecBeam free?
RecBeam does not have finalized pricing yet. We'll announce details before anything changes for existing users.
Is RecBeam affiliated with Google or Chrome?
No. RecBeam is an independent product by Nexus Eclipse (Pvt) Ltd. Google Sign-In is used only as an authentication option.
